PBX system made in India
A PBX system for Indian businesses, made in India
Voxdial IP PBX is a TEC certified PBX system designed, built and supported in India by BitVoice Solutions. It replaces an old EPABX with one IP phone system that gives every desk, branch and mobile user an extension, answers callers with an IVR menu, rings the right team, records calls and reports on every one, over Airtel, Jio, Tata or BSNL SIP trunks, PRI lines or ordinary analog lines, all managed from one web console.

Why an Indian PBX
Why Indian businesses choose a PBX system made in India
An imported phone system is built for other countries’ rules and networks. Voxdial is engineered in India for Indian compliance, Indian telecom operators and Indian support expectations.
TEC certified under MTCTE
Certified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, as Department of Telecommunications rules require for every IP PBX sold or used in India, and accepted in government, PSU and bank tenders.
Ready for Indian phone lines
SIP trunk templates for Airtel, Jio, Tata, BSNL and Vodafone, plus PRI E1 cards and analog gateways, so your existing numbers and lines keep working.
Built in-house, not resold
BitVoice engineers design and develop the PBX software themselves, so features, fixes and integrations come from the team that wrote the code, not an overseas vendor.
24X7 support from India
Phone, email and WhatsApp support round the clock from the engineers who build the system, in your time zone and your language.
Your calls stay on your premises
The PBX runs in your office or data centre, so call recordings, reports and contacts stay on your own servers, with scheduled backups wherever you choose.
AI calling in Indian languages
The same platform connects BitVoice AI voice agents that answer callers in 22 Indian languages, and grows into Voxdial Contact Center when you need agents and queues.
EPABX vs IP PBX
EPABX vs IP PBX: what changes when you upgrade
An EPABX (electronic private automatic branch exchange) is the traditional office telephone exchange, wired to analog phones in one building. An IP PBX does the same job in software over your computer network, so it adds branches, mobiles, recording and integrations without new wiring.
| Traditional EPABX | Voxdial IP PBX | |
|---|---|---|
| Phone lines | Analog lines, sometimes PRI | SIP trunks, PRI E1 and analog lines together |
| Extensions | Fixed ports, one cable per phone | IP desk phones, mobiles, browser and softphone users over the network |
| Branches | Separate exchange in each office | One PBX for every branch, with free calls between offices |
| IVR and routing | Basic auto attendant | Multi-level IVR, 9 ring group strategies, time and holiday rules |
| Call recording | Separate voice logger | Built in, per extension or route, with playback in reports |
| Mobile users | Not available | Follow me to mobile, softphone apps |
| CRM and WhatsApp | Not available | CRM integration, SMS and WhatsApp notifications, call APIs |
| Growth | Add cards and cabling | Add users in the web console; grow into a contact centre and AI voice agents |

PBX system FAQs
What is a PBX system?
A PBX (private branch exchange) system is a company’s own telephone exchange. It connects the phone lines from your telecom operator to the extensions of your staff, so callers reach the right person through an IVR menu, ring groups or transfers, and staff call each other for free. A modern IP PBX such as Voxdial runs over your computer network instead of separate telephone wiring.
Is Voxdial IP PBX made in India?
Yes. Voxdial IP PBX is designed, developed and supported in India by BitVoice Solutions Pvt. Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of PBX, contact centre and AI calling products. It is TEC certified under the Department of Telecommunications’ MTCTE scheme.
Is there a lower-cost IP PBX from BitVoice?
Yes. The Voxtone series (Voxtone P 500, P 250, P 100 and Voxtone Lite) is BitVoice’s cost-effective IP PBX range. The Voxdial series (Voxdial P 2000, P 1000 and P 500) is the full platform with the contact centre, AI voice agents and WhatsApp. Every model in both series is TEC approved. Contact us to choose the right model for your office.
What is the difference between EPABX, PABX and IP PBX?
PABX and EPABX are older names for an office telephone exchange; EPABX means the electronic version that most Indian offices installed, wired to analog phones. An IP PBX does the same switching in software over your data network, and adds SIP trunks, multiple branches, mobile users, built-in call recording, reports and CRM integration.
How much does a PBX system cost in India?
The cost depends on the number of users and branches, the type and number of phone lines (SIP, PRI or analog), the IP phones you choose and the edition. Voxdial comes in editions from small offices to large enterprises, so you pay for what you use. BitVoice gives a fixed quotation after a free site survey.
What is an IP PBX?
An IP PBX is a business phone system that runs over your computer network. It gives every employee an extension, connects your company’s phone lines, and handles calls with features such as IVR menus, ring groups, voicemail, call recording and transfers. BitVoice IP PBX does this for one office or many branches from a single web console.
Is BitVoice IP PBX TEC certified?
Yes. Voxdial IP PBX by BitVoice is certified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) under the Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecom Equipment (MTCTE) scheme of the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. We share the certificate with every quotation and tender bid.
Why is TEC certification mandatory for an IP PBX in India?
Under the Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rules, 2017 and the MTCTE scheme, telecom equipment notified by the Department of Telecommunications must be tested against TEC Essential Requirements and certified before it is sold, imported or used in India. The tests cover safety, electromagnetic compatibility and technical requirements such as IPv4 and IPv6. Government, PSU and many enterprise tenders also ask for a TEC certified PABX, so an uncertified system can disqualify a bid.
Which edition do we need?
Brick series suits small offices on SIP trunks. The Voxdial series adds more trunks, integrations and features for growing businesses. Voxdial Unified Communication is for large enterprises, with an operator console, multiple branches and a contact centre module. We recommend the edition after a free survey.
Can we keep our existing phone numbers and lines?
Yes. BitVoice IP PBX connects to SIP trunks, PRI E1 lines and analog lines, so you keep your current numbers. You can add SIP trunks from Airtel, Jio, Tata, BSNL or other carriers at any time.
Which IP phones does it support?
Any standard SIP phone. Yealink, Grandstream, Fanvil, Cisco, Dinstar and BitVoice devices are configured automatically: the PBX finds them on your network and pushes their settings. Staff can also call from a browser with WebRTC or from a mobile softphone.
Can calls ring on mobile phones?
Yes. Follow me rings the desk phone first, then the employee’s mobile or any other number, one after another or all together, so calls are answered even away from the desk.
Does it record calls?
Yes. Recording can be always on, never, or on demand, set per extension, per route and separately for inbound, outbound and internal calls. Recordings are played back from the call report.
Can we stop staff from making international or mobile calls?
Yes. Class of service rules decide which numbers each extension or group may dial, for example local only, or no international calls, and internal restrictions control which extensions can call each other.
Is it secure?
Yes. Calls can be encrypted with TLS and SRTP, unknown SIP callers can be blocked, access is controlled by user roles and permission groups, and every change is recorded in an activity log.
Can it grow into a contact centre or use AI voice agents?
Yes. The same platform adds a BitVoice contact centre with agents, queues, campaigns and wallboards, and BitVoice AI voice agents connect to the PBX to answer calls in 22 Indian languages.
Which businesses use an IP PBX?
Hospitals and clinics, hotels, colleges and schools, apartments and residential complexes, corporate offices, and government and PSU offices: any organisation with several departments or branches that wants one phone system with IVR, recording and reports.
