Factories, plants and warehouses

One phone, paging and alert system for every plant

A factory needs phones that work on a noisy shop floor, in a security cabin a kilometre from the office, and in every plant across the country. It needs to announce shift changes, find a supervisor in seconds and call the safety team at once when an alarm goes off. BitVoice makes the analog VoIP gateways and builds the TEC certified Voxdial IP PBX that does all of this, and supports it with our own engineers.

What BitVoice does for manufacturing

Reach every person on site, every time

Six problems plants face with old EPABX and PA systems, and how the Voxdial platform solves each one.

Keep the shop-floor phones you have

Rugged analog phones on the floor, in store rooms and security cabins connect through BitVoice VoIP gateways with 16, 24 or 32 ports. Analog runs of up to 3 km on 24 AWG cable reach spread-out sites.

Paging zones across the plant

Announce to a production hall, a warehouse or the whole site from any phone or the browser. Priority stations override routine pages, and busy phones can be forced to hear the page. Read IP paging and PA systems.

Emergency alerts with a record

One alert calls the emergency response team, fire wardens and plant heads at the same time with a recorded message. The alert history shows who was called and who answered. Read emergency alert system.

Every plant and office on one system

Plants, depots and the head office dial each other by extension and transfer calls between sites. Each site can keep its own lines and keep working if the link fails. Read multi-branch phone system.

An operator console for the front desk

The receptionist or telephone operator sees waiting calls, transfers and parks them, and finds people fast with keyboard shortcuts. Read PBX operator console.

Phone bills under control

Class of service rules decide which phones can dial mobile, STD or international numbers, so shop-floor and canteen phones stay internal. Read call restrictions.

Safety and shift communication

Bells, announcements and alerts from the phone system you already run

Many plants still run a separate PA system with its own wiring and amplifier room. Voxdial paging uses your network, IP phones and IP speakers, so any authorised user can make an announcement and speakers can be added or moved without new PA wiring. Schedules play shift-change chimes, lunch bells and daily safety reminders at the times you set.

When something goes wrong, emergency voice alerts call named people on their phones wherever they are, and PA paging tells everyone on site what to do. For shift cancellations and follow-up updates to a large staff list, Call Blast plays a recorded message to your own staff only. Run a drill every quarter and check the alert history to see who did not answer.

Manufacturing communication FAQs

What does BitVoice offer factories and plants?

The TEC certified Voxdial IP PBX for plant and office phones, BitVoice VoIP gateways for analog phones, PA paging with zones and schedules, emergency voice alerts, an operator console and multi-plant connectivity. BitVoice builds and supports all of it.

Can we keep the analog phones on the shop floor?

Yes. Each analog phone plugs into an FXS port on a BitVoice VoIP gateway and becomes an extension. Gateways come in 16, 24 and 32 port versions and support analog runs of up to 3 km on 24 AWG cable.

Can the phone system replace our PA system?

For announcements, yes. Paging groups send announcements to IP phones and IP speakers by zone over your network, with priorities, scheduled bells and live broadcast. PA paging is a licensed feature on Voxdial.

How do emergency voice alerts work?

Contacts are grouped into teams such as fire wardens or management. Triggering an alert calls everyone in the group at the same time with a recorded message, and the alert history shows each number called and whether the call was answered.

Can several plants share one phone system?

Yes. Plants can register to one central Voxdial IP PBX, or each plant can run its own PBX linked by SIP trunks so it keeps working if the link fails. Staff dial other sites by extension.

Can we run a dealer and customer service desk on the same system?

Yes. Voxdial Contact Center runs on the same platform as your plant phones, with queues, CRM click to call, WhatsApp calls and chats, and BitVoice AI voice agents as backup when your team is busy.

Can our ERP send WhatsApp updates to dealers?

Yes. The BitVoice WhatsApp platform has an HTTP API, so your ERP or CRM can send approved WhatsApp template messages, and replies land in the shared team inbox.

Are BitVoice products TEC certified?

Yes. Voxdial IP PBX and BitVoice analog VoIP gateways with 8 to 32 ports are TEC certified under the MTCTE scheme of the Department of Telecommunications.
