BitVoice BVS1000 Series analog gateway
The BVS1000 connects analog phones, fax machines and other analog devices to an IP PBX over your network. It comes with 16, 24 or 32 RJ11 ports on a modular design, so port boards can be added or removed as your needs change. Each port registers to the PBX as an extension, which lets hospitals, hotels, factories, campuses and residential communities keep their existing phones and wiring while moving to an IP phone system. Every BVS1000 model, 16, 24 and 32 ports, is TEC certified under MTCTE, as required for telecom equipment sold in India.
16, 24 or 32 ports
Modular RJ11 port boards in a 1U rack chassis, with lines up to 3 km long on 24 AWG cable.
Clear voice and fax

Where gateways help
Keep analog phones where they make sense
| Site | How the gateway helps |
|---|---|
| Hospitals | Ward and room phones stay on existing wiring while the hospital moves to an IP PBX |
| Hotels and hostels | Simple analog room phones on long cable runs, up to 3 km |
| Factories and warehouses | Robust analog phones on the shop floor and in stores |
| Campuses and residential communities | Many analog extensions across buildings from one rack |
| Offices with fax | Fax machines over IP with T.38 relay |
| Call centres and service providers | High-density analog ports with standard SIP |
Better together
Plug in, and the Voxdial IP PBX auto provisions it
The Voxdial IP PBX scans your network, finds BitVoice phones and gateways and pushes their configuration, so a whole floor is ready without typing settings into each device. Gateway ports map to extensions in a few clicks, the deployment map shows every phone and port as registered or offline, and phones and gateways can be resynced or restarted from the web console. Read how zero-touch provisioning works and how to use analog phones with an IP PBX.

VoIP gateway FAQs
What does an analog VoIP gateway do?
It connects analog phones and fax machines to an IP PBX over the network. Each analog port registers to the PBX as an extension, so existing phones and wiring keep working with an IP phone system.
Are BitVoice gateways TEC certified?
Yes. BitVoice analog gateways with 8, 16, 24 and 32 ports and above are TEC certified under MTCTE by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre, Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, including every BVS1000 model.
How many phones can the BVS1000 gateway connect?
The BVS1000 Series comes with 16, 24 or 32 RJ11 ports on modular boards, and each port connects one analog phone or fax machine, on lines up to 3 km long.
Can the Voxdial IP PBX configure BitVoice gateways automatically?
Yes. The Voxdial IP PBX auto provisions BitVoice gateways: it finds the gateway on your network, you map each analog port to an extension, and Voxdial generates and pushes the configuration. No settings are typed into the gateway’s web interface, and every port shows its registration status on the deployment map.
Does the BVS1000 work with IP PBX systems other than Voxdial?
Yes. It uses standard SIP and works with SIP-based IP PBX and VoIP platforms. With the Voxdial IP PBX it is discovered and configured automatically.
Can I send fax through the gateway?
Yes. The BVS1000 supports T.38 fax relay and fax pass-through, as well as modem and POS terminals.
